Job description

The IT Operations & Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for delivering exceptional technical support while helping manage and maintain the organization's technology infrastructure. This role serves as a key member of the IT team, providing hands-on support to end users while administering Microsoft 365, networking, endpoint management, collaboration technologies, and cybersecurity solutions.
The successful candidate will be a versatile IT professional who enjoys solving user issues, improving technology processes, and ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the company's IT environment. This position works closely with employees across all departments and plays an important role in supporting business operations, manufacturing activities, and strategic technology initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support for employees across office, manufacturing, and remote user environments. Administer and support the full Microsoft 365 enterprise ecosystem, including its core productivity, identity, device management, security, compliance, collaboration, AI, and remote support capabilities.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment.
  • Support and maintain Meraki network infrastructure including switches, wireless access points, security appliances, and VPN connectivity.
  • Assist with administration and monitoring of Fortinet firewall and network security solutions.
  • Support conference room and collaboration technologies including Microsoft Teams Rooms, Meeting Owl devices, displays, cameras, and audio systems.
  • Manage user onboarding, offboarding, account provisioning, licensing, and access management.
  • Monitor system health, respond to alerts, and assist with infrastructure maintenance and upgrades.
  • Support endpoint security, vulnerability remediation, multifactor authentication, and other cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of systems, processes, and technical procedures.
  • Participate in technology projects, system implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work with vendors and service providers to troubleshoot issues and coordinate support activities.
  • Support and model STARC Systems' values and mission.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support business needs.
  • This position requires working onsite five days a week.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or infrastructure support.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration and support.
  • Experience supporting enterprise networking technologies, preferably Meraki.
  • Experience with firewall administration, preferably Fortinet.
  • Familiarity with endpoint management solutions such as Intune, NinjaOne, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting conference room and collaboration technologies.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and wireless networking.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in IT, experience in a manufacturing environment, or 5-10 years in an enterprise level support role.
  • Microsoft, Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, CompTIA, or related certifications.
  • Exposure to cybersecurity tools and best practices.
  • Experience with IT service management platforms and ticketing systems.

Summary Pay Range: $80,000 - $90,000
