Job Description

Responsibilities:

Manage Six Sigma process improvement related projects within the mortgage loan origination domain; working with the business and I.T. to understand their needs, and drive successful project delivery.  

Work with cross functional teams to develop and track classic project management deliverables (schedules, status reports, resource plans, risks, issues logs, etc.).  

Analyze and communicate the issues and risks as they relate to their project(s).

Lead from both a business and IT perspective; clearly setting expectations for each project major milestone and then managing the business and the project teams to those expectations.


Required skills:

Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Project Manager, including managing projects on both the I.T. and the business side.

Experience managing Six Sigma business process improvement projects is required.

Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a MUST!

Mortgage loan origination business industry and/or banking industry experience is a required.

Must have "true" project management skills (discipline) including management of risks and issues (and knowing the difference between the two), plus real management of scope creep (change management), schedule impacts, etc.

Must have prior consulting experience in a large corporate environment.

Must adaptable, can get up to speed quickly, be tactical in delivering project tasks under tight deadlines, with the ability to keep the big picture in mind at same time from a strategic perspective.

Must be able to understand the importance of stakeholders' business objectives and drive the process towards achieving those objectives (i.e. ability to see the big picture). 

Ability to build and manage a team of people in order to effectively manage a project and ensure its' success.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a cross-functional capacity.

Successful track record delivering projects successfully and within budget.  

Ability to interact with all levels of personnel effectively from technical to high level executive management; and influence key stakeholders in order to get things done and set proper expectations!  

Must be able to build positive relationships with difficult stakeholders and work with them effectively. 

Must be comfortable pushing back (when necessary) in a strong personality environment. 

Strong leadership, assertiveness and interpersonal skills.

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

PMP certification is a plus.


Education:

Bachelor's degree is required


Qualifications

Six Sigma Black Belt certification is required
