Job description

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an experienced IT Operations Infrastructure Services Lead (ISL) to join our national intelligence program in Northern Virginia that delivers engineering, application development, deployment, operations, upgrades and sustainment of products and services to achieve our client's Global Missions.    This position also serves as the ISL Virtual Network Operations Security Center (NOSC) Team Lead. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Provide technical expertise in the design and development of IT operation environments.  
  • Develop strategy of the client/server system and the design architecture to support strategy.  
  • Research new technology and advise on purchases for the client regarding processing, data storage, data access, and applications development.  
  • Develop strategies for conducting studies to estimate the space, computer hardware, software and connection infrastructure resources required on a short and long-term basis.  
  • Develop models of the computer and computer application environment, identifies, and resolves computer operation systems performance issues. Measures system usage by workload type, identifying trends, and estimating further resource requirements. 
  • Ensure IT tasks and projects are appropriately assigned and prioritized based on program and customer priority. 
  • Assist in planning of projects that enhance the quality and efficiency of the team. 
  • Provide leadership, assistance and work guidance to less experience technicians and administrators. 
  • Work with Campus Support Technicians to support the end users as needed. 
  • Maintain warranty information; ensure that the infrastructure systems are monitored with regards to warranty status.  
  • Ensure the timely resolution of hardware and software problems associated with the data and voice network. 
  • Identify and evaluate new products / services that would allow the team to provide improved services to our customers.  
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd Tier hardware and software support for end-users. 
  • Provide after-hours support for planned maintenance, updates to technology, hardware and software changes during non-business production hours.  
  • Perform On-Call Emergency support service. 
  • This position manages/performs Shift work to cover the 24X7 Operations. 

**Position is Contingent on Contract Award** 

Qualifications

Basic Qualications: 

  • Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with ability to pass a Poly clearance. 
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience with a BS/BA degree; minimum of 10 years with an MS/MA degree and a minimum of 7 years with a PhD. 
  • Experience in the management of the Information Technology (IT) infrastructure within an organization, including the physical network (e.g., LANs/WANs, servers, terminals) as well as server applications and software. 
  • Experience with IT Enterprise Operations observability and monitoring, Load Balancing, Traffic Management and Tier 2/3 support for incidents. 

Desired Qualications: 

  • Active TS/SCI with Poly clearances. 
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management 
  • Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or Mathematics.  
  • Strong experience in network administration to include the design, engineering, technical documentation, implementation, troubleshooting, and repair of network systems (routing, switching, firewall and voice instruments). 

SECURITY CLEARANCE: 

This Position requires an Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a Poly, US Citizenship is required to obtain this clearance.

Target Salary Range$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
