Job Description IT Business Analyst (Infrastructure & Operations / Project Delivery) Location: Phoenix, AZ (Onsite - Downtown) Employment Type: Contract Industry: Financial Services / Banking Overview A leading financial services organization is seeking an IT Business Analyst with a strong focus on project delivery and execution within IT Infrastructure & Operations. This role will work directly with the Project Manager, supporting the successful execution of IT initiatives by bridging business needs with technical solutions, coordinating project activities, and ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within scope. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a blend of business analysis and project coordination/project management experience, particularly within enterprise IT environments.

Key Responsibilities Project Delivery & Execution Partner closely with the Project Manager to support day-to-day project execution and delivery activities Coordinate across IT, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure alignment on timelines, deliverables, and priorities Track project milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues, and proactively communicate updates to stakeholders Assist in managing project plans, schedules, and documentation to ensure timely delivery Support governance processes, status reporting, and stakeholder communications Ensure projects adhere to organizational standards, compliance requirements, and delivery frameworks Business Analysis & Requirements Gather, document, and validate business and system requirements with stakeholders Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications Create and maintain documentation including process flows, user stories, and business requirement documents (BRDs) Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement and operational efficiency Support solution design discussions and ensure alignment with business objectives Testing & Implementation Participate in and help coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Validate that delivered solutions meet business requirements and acceptance criteria Assist with implementation activities, including readiness, deployment coordination, and post-implementation support Data Analysis & Reporting Analyze operational and project data to support decision-making Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate project status and performance Establish and track KPIs related to project delivery and operational effectiveness Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) 3-5 years of experience in: IT Business Analysis Project Coordination and/or Project Management IT Operations or Service Management environments Hands-on experience supporting project delivery and execution in enterprise IT settings Working knowledge of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams Preferred Skills & Experience Experience working directly with Project Managers on complex IT initiatives Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies Experience in financial services or other regulated industries Strong background in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional coordination Experience with project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, ServiceNow, or similar) Key Competencies Project delivery & execution focus Requirements elicitation and documentation Business process analysis and improvement Stakeholder communication and coordination Time management and prioritization in fast-paced environments Why This Role High-visibility role working directly with project leadership Strong blend of business analysis and project execution responsibilities Opportunity to contribute to critical IT infrastructure initiatives Enterprise-level environment within a stable financial services organization
