Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute an IT strategy aligned with the organization's growth plan, acquisition cadence, and value-creation objectives.
  • Partner closely with the CFO to align technology investments with financial discipline, EBITDA improvement, and long-term scalability.
  • Establish standardized IT architectures, policies, and governance models across all clinics.
  • Lead IT budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning, with a focus on cost control, vendor consolidation, and return on investment.
  • Provide regular reporting on IT performance, risks, and integration progress.

Acquisition Integration

  • Own all IT aspects of acquisitions, from diligence through post-close integration.
  • Conduct IT due diligence for acquisition targets, including EMR systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity posture, and HIPAA risk.
  • Develop and maintain a repeatable IT integration playbook for acquired clinics.
  • Ensure Day-1 readiness for newly acquired locations, including network connectivity, system access, and security controls.

EMR Standardization & Platform Migration

  • Lead the execution to migrate all clinics to a single enterprise EMR platform.
  • Assess existing EMR systems across acquired clinics and develop a phased migration roadmap.
  • Oversee EMR data conversion, validation, and testing to ensure data integrity and continuity.
  • Partner with clinical leadership, operations, and revenue cycle management teams to ensure workflows are optimized in the new platform.
  • Coordinate training, change management, and go-live support for therapists, front-desk staff, and billing teams.
  • Minimize disruption to patient care, documentation, scheduling, and cash flow during migrations.

Clinical & Business Software Systems

  • Oversee enterprise applications supporting physical therapy operations, including scheduling, documentation, billing, payroll, and productivity tools.
  • Drive system standardization and integration across clinical and back-office platforms.
  • Manage application upgrades, patches, and vendor relationships.
  • Ensure systems support accurate documentation, efficient workflows, and timely reimbursement.
  • Establish data governance, reporting, and analytics capabilities to support operational and financial decision-making.

Network Infrastructure & Clinic Enablement

  • Direct the design and deployment of scalable, standardized network infrastructure for clinic environments.
  • Ensure secure, reliable connectivity and wireless access across all locations.
  • Support rapid onboarding of new clinics with repeatable infrastructure and hardware deployment models.
  • Ensure high availability for systems critical to front-desk operations, therapists, and billing teams.

Cybersecurity & HIPAA Compliance

  • Lead a comprehensive cybersecurity and risk management program appropriate for a rapidly expanding healthcare organization.
  • Standardize security controls across all clinics, including endpoint protection, access management, and network security.
  • Serve as Thrive's Information Security Officer, fulfilling OCR/HHS requirements and leading HIPAA and ePHI risk mitigation efforts.
  • Conduct annual IT security risk assessments and maintain compliance documentation, to ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and applicable state privacy regulations.
  • Oversee administrative, technical, and physical safeguards for Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Lead incident response, breach investigation, and regulatory reporting as required.
  • Support internal and external audits and ongoing risk assessments.

IT Operations & Service Delivery

  • Oversee day-to-day IT operations, including external help desk support, endpoint management, and clinic support.
  • Establish service levels that ensure minimal disruption to patient care and clinic productivity.
  • Ensure timely onboarding and offboarding of employees and providers.
  • Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Drive operational efficiency through process standardization and automation.

Team Leadership & Vendor Management

  • Effectively leverage managed service providers, cloud platforms, and software vendors.
  • Establish clear accountability, performance expectations, and continuous improvement.
  • Foster a culture focused on execution, security, clinical reliability, and financial discipline.
  • Partner with company executives and acquisition leadership to align technical integration plans with business objectives.
  • Communicate complex data and system concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
