The Lighthouse, part of Whalar Group, is a first-ever creative campus and studio playground for the Creator Generation, offering Creators an I.R.L. platform to Learn, Make, and Belong. With Venice, CA already opened, and Brooklyn, NY opening in Fall 2025, and London/EMEA opening in 2026, the campuses are designed to empower and support career Creators and creative professionals, providing a dynamic environment explicitly tailored to their needs. About the role:
As a member of our Campus Support team, you'll be the behind-the-scenes hero who keeps our studios, common spaces, restrooms and cafรฉ running smoothly and looking their best. From ensuring every space is tour-ready to supporting events, productions, and daily operations, you'll play a vital part in creating an exceptional experience for our members, guests, and staff.
Here's what you'll do day-to-day:
  • Monitor and maintain all campus areas-indoors, outdoors, and perimeters-to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
  • Track and manage inventory of supplies, communicating needs to avoid shortages.
  • Reset and clean meeting rooms, studios, restrooms, and member areas so they're always ready to impress.
  • Support studio and AV teams with event setups, resets, and production needs.
  • Keep the cafรฉ, scullery, prep kitchen, and restrooms spotless, sanitized, and safe.
  • Manage trash, dishware, and utensils to maintain high health and safety standards.
  • Report maintenance issues promptly and support managers with additional tasks as needed.
  • Keep an eye for detail and a 360 view of the space at all times, resetting furniture, props and calling out campus needs or resources.
  • Take pride in keeping the restrooms clean and organized.
  • Engage in ongoing training to sharpen skills and stay up-to-date with best practices.
  • Assist with cafรฉ operations as needed: food prep, service, dishwashing, and point-of-sale transactions.
  • Utilize required tools on campus for communication and organizing.
  • Assists in any other duties set forth or requested by other managers as needed.
  • Thrive in high energy event space, always ready to jump in and assist the team with set up and tear down as well as consistent event cleanliness throughout.
Here's what we're looking for:
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) and a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Experience in fast-paced environments with strong attention to detail and customer service.
  • Comfortable with physical work: lifting up to 30 lbs, frequent bending, standing, and moving across indoor/outdoor spaces.
  • Flexible availability, including daytime, evenings, and weekends, with the ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • A passion for creativity, innovation, and contributing to a collaborative, inclusive culture.
