What is IT cabling?

IT cabling refers to the installation and management of network cables and wiring systems that connect computers, servers, and other devices within an organization. These cabling systems, such as Ethernet and fiber optic cables, form the physical backbone for data and voice communication networks. Proper IT cabling ensures reliable connectivity, high network performance, and scalability for future technology upgrades. IT cabling professionals are responsible for designing, installing, testing, and maintaining these systems to meet industry standards and organizational needs.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an IT cabling technician?

These skills ensure that cabling installations are reliable, safe, and meet performance standards critical for seamless network operations.
