They often work under the supervision of senior IT staff to ensure the smooth operation of technology infrastructure. Common tasks include installing software, setting up devices, and helping users resolve technical problems. This role is a great starting point for a career in information technology, offering valuable hands-on experience and opportunities for advancement.

Through a network of over 450 Hyundai and Kia dealerships and 30 Genesis distributors nationwide, we provide indirect vehicle financing and leasing solutions to consumers and commercial customers.

From our employee programs to the unique design of our offices, we strive to create a connected, fun, positive, and rewarding workplace where employees feel appreciated, proud of their company, and deeply invested in HCCA's success.

Our work environments follow consistent themes that represent our global values: simplicity, collaboration, symmetry, and elements of nature.

Position Summary: With the growth of Hyundai Capital Canada, the company requires a Business Systems Associate who can operate effectively in a fast-paced captive finance environment and provide timely, high-quality support to business and IT teams. The individual will be responsible for quickly understanding business needs, eliciting and analyzing requirements, assessing impacts to current systems, products, and processes, and translating those needs into clear business, technical, and vendor-ready requirements. This role serves as a liaison between business users, IT teams, and third-party vendors to deliver practical system solutions, support business priorities, and identify opportunities beyond the initial request to improve outcomes and reduce risk.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, non-functional, and data requirements for enhancements, production issues, and new initiatives. Assess impacts to systems, products, and processes, and prepare supporting artifacts such as workflows, use cases, and functional specifications.
  • Coordinate with business users, IT teams, and vendors to translate approved requirements into vendor change requests and IT delivery documentation. Provide guidance on system capabilities and recommend practical solutions.
  • Support solution delivery and testing by aligning test scenarios and test cases with approved requirements. Validate that delivered solutions meet business needs and minimize unintended impacts.
  • Analyze data, business rules, and system behavior to support requirement validation, issue investigation, and impact assessment. Review data mapping and quality, and use SQL to validate findings as needed.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions by assessing workflows, system capabilities, and operational impacts.
  • Support implementation readiness and alignment with business priorities.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Work Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in business systems analysis, business analysis, or systems support, preferably in captive finance, automotive finance, consumer finance, leasing, or loan origination/servicing environments.
  • Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business, functional, non-functional, and data requirements for system enhancements, issue resolution, and process improvements.
  • Experience translating business requirements into vendor change requests, technical specifications, or structured IT delivery documentation.
  • Experience working directly with third-party vendors and internal IT teams to support system enhancements, issue investigation, and solution delivery.
  • Experience assessing the impact of requests on system behavior, upstream and downstream processes, integrations, and existing products preferred.
  • Prior experience in the automotive finance or consumer finance industry is strongly preferred.

Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong ability to quickly understand business requests in a fast-paced environment and convert them into clear, complete, and actionable requirements.
  • Skilled in eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and communicating business, functional, non-functional, and data requirements.
  • Strong understanding of system behavior, business processes, product configurations, and the impact of requested changes on existing functionality.
  • Ability to challenge assumptions, ask effective questions, and recommend alternative solutions that better address the underlying business need.
  • Strong understanding of consumer finance, auto finance, or captive finance concepts, including how system changes may affect products, workflows, and customer or dealer experience.
  • Ability to translate requirements into vendor change requests and/or IT technical documentation suitable for development and delivery teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify root causes, process gaps, and downstream impacts.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and facilitate discussions across business, IT, and vendor teams.
  • Working knowledge of data structures, data mapping, data quality analysis, and relational databases.
  • Basic SQL knowledge required, including the ability to read and write simple queries to validate data, investigate issues, and support requirements analysis.
