The opportunity

Delaware North is hiring an IT Engineer to join our team at Kennedy Space Center. As an IT Engineer, you

will be responsible for supporting our IT infrastructure at Kennedy Space Center, with a specific emphasis on systems and network architecture, project support, providing technical support to our POS systems, ensuring they are operational and meeting business needs and provide exceptional end-user support, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues and resolving technical problems.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $82,600 - $111,500 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?

IT Systems and Network Infrastructure:

  • Systems: Support robust systems architecture.
  • Network: Support network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.
  • Upgrades, Enhancements and Maintenance: Plan and execute system upgrades and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Perform regular maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of IT infrastructure.
  • Monitoring: Monitor systems and networks to proactively identify and address potential issues.
  • Backups and Recovery: Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions to safeguard critical data and systems.

POS Systems Support:

  • Technical Support: Provide expert technical support for Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, ensuring they are operational and effectively meeting business requirements.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve POS hardware and software issues promptly to minimize downtime.

Service Requests:

  • Manage and prioritize service requests to ensure timely and efficient support delivery.

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

5 - 10 years of related experience in the implementation, management, and maintenance of information technology infrastructure and IT systems, including cloud architectures, server technologies, communication technologies, LANs, WANs, telephone, voice, video, and data communication systems.

Technical Experience:

  • End-user technical support services, offering troubleshooting and resolution for hardware, software and IT systems issues.
  • Virtualization technologies VMWare vSphere.
  • Enterprise wireless system HPe Aruba and Cisco WiFi solutions.
  • Enterprise storage technologies.
  • High availability environments – clustering, AWS VPC, load balancers.
  • Windows Server OS.
  • Firewall Logs Analysis.
  • Perform changes and updates to Cisco network switch ports as needed, including enabling/disabling ports, configuring port settings, and troubleshooting port-related issues.
  • Cisco Webex VoIP Phone System.
  • Enterprise backup solutions (Commvault, AWS solutions)
  • Performance monitoring tools and remediation.
  • Experience with Active Directory administration.
  • Strong hands-on technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with LAN/WAN technologies in a Windows environment.
  • Provide technical support to the following POS Systems: Micros, NetSuite, Gateway Ticketing System, XPR, TapIn2 and Mashgin.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose microwave point to point antenna system issues, including signal degradation, alignment problems, and equipment failures.
  • Knowledge and use of ServiceNow

Other responsibilities/experience:

  • Document SOP’s, network and systems configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide technical support for end-users encountering problems with IT systems.
  • Strong knowledge of PCI compliance standards.
  • Organizational, project management planning skills.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Project deployment & support: Participate in corporate IT projects, providing technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle. Work closely with cross-functional departments and external vendors to ensure project objectives are met on time, within scope, and budget. Assist in project planning, implementation, coordination, and issue resolution to drive successful project delivery.
  • Special Events and After-Hours Support: Provide technical support for special events and rocket launches, ensuring all IT systems are operational and secure. Be available for after-hours support as needed, including emergency situations and planned maintenance.
