COLLINSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL
2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
Job Classification: Building and Grounds Monitor (ISS)
Work Day: 8.5 hours a day (includes - hour unpaid lunch)
Work Year: 180 days (corresponding to the days teachers are on duty)

General Qualifications:
1. High school graduate
2. Ability to work with adolescents and adults
3. General knowledge of computer
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Physical abilities required are as follows:
  1. Ability to lift and/or move heavy objects. This may include lifting or moving students who are physically disabled and/or adaptive equipment and supplies.
  2. Possession of fine motor skills.
  3. Possession of unrestricted mobility, which includes ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  4. Possession of good visual ability.
  5. Ability to hear in a noisy environment.
    Duties and Responsibilities:
    1. Help ensure the safety and security of the school grounds, students and staff.
    2. Assist with checking visitors in and out of the building. (Raptor system)
    3. Refer students to the office for violation of school rules.
    4. Monitor main lot as students are arriving on campus and again when they are leaving.
    5. Supervise in-school suspension supervision.
    6. Escort students to and from the ISS room due to late assignment to the room, failure of ISS, medical attention by the nurse, request by principals to see students, etc.
    7. Monitor hallways, stairwells, locker bays, and restroom throughout the day.
    8. Check hall passes.
    9. Monitor the gym, cafeteria, main and rear of buildings during lunch periods and throughout the day.
    10. All other duties assigned by the principal or assistant principal.
