**Reports To:¨NBSP;**DC Supervisor or Designee**Location:** Palmetto, GA**Job Summary**The Quality Technician Lead assures the Quality team is focused on the quality management of caster products. Colson USA considers quality fundamental to the work that is undertaken by all personnel.The Quality Technician Lead ensures the successful day to day operation of the local Quality team in support of the Director of Quality, USA, whose directives include production quality validation and product support.**Essential Job Functions******·Responsible for supporting the work of the Quality Assurance group in their designated daily responsibilities by; supporting the optimization of receiving inspection, developing the team quality assurance capability, develop concession solutions for assurance of customer service and assuring SIP and SOP directive is followed.·Supports the preparation of accurate PPAP, FMEA, PFMEA reports.·Act as the primary contact for Distribution Center operations quality issues as needed.·Assists the management representative on all matters relating to the quality management system.·Assists the Management Representative during audits of the Facility.·Create, update and manage Risk, Opportunity and Continuous Improvement Matrix DC Operations Annually.·QMS Processes: Assists in the continuous improvements and maintenance of the QMS Processes, assuring compliance to applicable standards. Under the direction of the Director of Quality, USA assists in maintaining SOPs, Develops & generates relevant metrics and trending driving performance improvements, where needed.·Responsible for overseeing and monitoring effectiveness of the following systems: Complaint management activities, including investigation, Quality Incidence (non-conformance), CAPA 8D, Deviation, Batch record review and product release, Calibration and maintenance of equipment, Document control and record retention.·Auditor: Responsible for assisting in auditing activities, including internal audits·Problem Solving: Actively participates in product or process troubleshooting by providing feedback and offering solutions that meet both business and compliance needs.·Assists in implementation and compliance of Colson Group quality procedures at the DC operation.·Develop and implement additional local quality procedures required as necessary.·Developing resolutions to cross-functional issues·Assists and supports conducting ISO Management Review two times per year.·Performs other related duties as assigned.·Adheres to all Colson Group policies and procedures**Knowledge**Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferredHigh School Diploma requiredMinimum of 2 year’s experience in a Quality role in manufacturing or distribution center**Experience**·Demonstrated ability to professionally communicate in a clear and concise manner both one-on-one and in a group setting.·Demonstrated ability to function in a multi-task environment.Experience using an ERP system such as Epicor desirable.******Skills**·Personal computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office applications.·Ability to facilitate improvements and positive changes.·Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet personal and organizational goals.Report and Procedure writing proficient (PPAP’s, Corrective Action Reports etc.)*********Note***Every effort has been made to identify the essential functions of this position.
