Job description

Production/Warehouse Assistant Manager
About NX Automotive Logistics USA, Inc. (NXAL)
NXAL operates in warehouse and manufacturing environments where conditions may include moderate dust, dirt, and odors from packaging materials and propane-powered forklifts. Noise levels vary due to production equipment, and temperatures fluctuate throughout the year. Assistant Managers frequently use computers, communicate via phone and in person, move within the facility, and may travel to other locations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support department Supervisors and their 5S/COP assignments, participate in weekly audits, implement countermeasures to improve job processes.
  • Provide a safety-first work environment for all associates.
  • Manage, prepare and present business plan activities and results.
  • Review requisitions, assure accuracy and within budget plan, approve as necessary.
  • Manage the manpower for specific department and perform space and equipment planning processes to ensure maximum efficiencies.
  • Manage the effectiveness and implementation of corrective actions to all associates within the department.
  • Participate in the interviewing and evaluation of potential team members.
  • Conduct performance evaluations of team leaders and assigned Supervisors.
  • Develop an operating culture that promotes involvement, communication, expectations and accountability to ensure adherence to all company policies, ISO 9001 and 14001 Standards.
  • Provide a professional working environment for all associates and external/internal customers.
  • Perform any other job duties given by the Manager, when necessary, in order to meet company standards and company/customer needs/demands.

Qualifications
  • + 3 years of previous management or supervisory experience.
  • Possess knowledge of material service, warehousing and transportation functions, and administrative software applications.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to multi-task, manage one's own time and the time of others.
  • Ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions in order to choose the most appropriate actions.
  • Ability to foster trust, respect, and teamwork among associates.
