Job description

Job Summary:

Maintains a clean, organized, and fully stocked sales floor, cooler, and storage areas at the Moapa Paiute Travel Plaza.This position supports daily operations by ensuring merchandise is properly displayed, rotates, and priced, and that the facility meets cleanliness and safety standards for customers and team members.


Duties:

1.Receive, unload, and sort incoming merchandise deliveries; verify quantities against packing slips andreport discrepancies to the supervisor.

2. Stock shelves, coolers, freezers, and displays with merchandise; ensure products are fronted, faced, and attractively presented at all times.

3. Rotate all products using first-in, first-out (FIFO) methods; monitor expiration dates and remove outdated or damaged items.

4. Apply price labels, shelf tags, and promotional signage accurately and in a timely manner.

5. Organize and maintainthe stockroom, walk-in cooler, and dry-storage areas; keep backstock neat, accessible, and free of safety hazards.

6. Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, aisles, restrooms, beverage and food-service areas, and fuel island throughout each shift.

7. Operate and restock fountain drink machines, coffee stations, and condiment bars; replace CO2 tanks and syrup boxes as needed.

8.Restock ice merchandiser, bag ice as needed and ensure adequate supply during peak hours.

9.Empty trash receptacles inside and outside the facility, including fuel island waste containers; replace liners and maintain dumpster area.

10. Sweep, mop, and scrub floors; clean windows, counters, and equipment per the daily and weekly cleaning schedules.

11. Assist with periodic inventory counts as directed by the supervisor.

12. Monitor the fuel island area for cleanliness; clean pump handles, squeegee stations, and surrounding pavement as needed.

13. Report maintenance issues, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns to the supervisor

immediately.

14. Assist cashiers during high-traffic periods as needed.

15. Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must have a High School diploma or GED (or actively enrolled}

Previous stocking, warehouse, or retail experience preferred but not required.

Must be able to work all shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Must be dependable and punctual.

Must demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to take direction.

Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.

Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Must possess the physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, stoop, reach overhead, and lift up to 60 lbs. regularly.

Must be able to work in varying temperature environments, including walk-in coolers, freezers, and outdoors at the fuel island.

Must be able to safely operate a hand truck, pallet jack, and step ladder.

Must pass a preemployment drug screening and background check.
