Job Description
Island Queen Cruises is looking to employ a full-time Account Receivables person Under general direction from the Controller and Management team the accountant's main responsibility is to assist the department with any accounting duties. The Accountant provides financial, administrative and clerical support by ensuring payments are completed and expenses are controlled by receiving payments, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Reconcile customers' accounts at the end of the month
  • Prepare customers' statements at the beginning of every month
  • Bill credit companies monthly
  • Maintain Accounts Receivable Customer files
  • Monitor payments to open invoices
  • Review AR aging report to ensure compliance
  • Daily sales entries
  • Deposit checks
  • Petty cash reports reconciliation
  • Handle Credit cards disputes
  • Responsible for filling payments and scanning

Qualifications
The requirements for this position include but are not limited to:
Knowledge and Skills
  • Ability to fluently speak, read, write and understand English
  • Computer proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
  • Able to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with all customers, team members and management
  • Excellent organization skills

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred
  • 1-2 years' experience in accounting
  • Or any similar combination of education and experience
