Job description

Fire Sprinkler Fitter – Join Our Team


We are looking for an experienced and dependable Fire Sprinkler Fitter to join our growing team. If you take pride in quality workmanship, understand fire sprinkler systems, and want steady work with a company that values skilled tradespeople, we want to hear from you.

In this position, you will install, repair, modify, and maintain commercial and/or residential fire sprinkler systems while working closely with project managers, foremen, and other trades to complete projects safely and on schedule.


What You'll Do

  • Install fire sprinkler piping, fittings, valves, hangers, and sprinkler heads according to plans and specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fire sprinkler system layouts.
  • Measure, cut, thread, groove, and assemble pipe.
  • Install and modify wet, dry, pre-action, and other fire sprinkler systems as applicable.
  • Perform system modifications, repairs, and service work.
  • Conduct inspections and testing as required for assigned work.
  • Identify installation issues and communicate needed changes to the foreman or project manager.
  • Coordinate work with other trades on active construction sites.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work and materials used.
  • Follow OSHA requirements, company safety procedures, and applicable fire protection codes.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company property in good working condition.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.


Who We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Fire Sprinkler Fitter, Sprinkler Installer, or Fire Protection Technician preferred.
  • Knowledge of fire sprinkler piping, fittings, valves, and system components.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction drawings.
  • Experience cutting, threading, grooving, and installing pipe.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 13 and applicable fire protection standards.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, and other construction equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a crew.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work at heights and on ladders or lifts.
  • Ability to lift and carry pipe, equipment, and materials associated with the trade.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
  • Applicable state or local sprinkler fitter licensing/certification preferred or required where applicable.
