Overview

Intelligent Waves is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support our mission critical work for our government customers. This Network Engineer will support a growing enterprise-wide, deployable, Big Data processing and analysis system and underlying networks - focusing on Network Transport, Setup of Deployable Systems, and Supporting Mission Operations.

Please note: This position is pending contract approval.

Location: Eglin AFB, FL Travel: Up to 50% travel may be required based on mission requirements, including contingency and surge operations. All authorized travel will be reimbursed in accordance with GSA Per Diem rates and the Department of Defense Joint Travel Regulations (JTR). 

Clearance Requirement: Secret with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.

Responsibilities
  • Deploy IT systems and networks to austere and fixed locations to enable edge mission capabilities
  • Deliver end-to-end network engineering (requirements, design, development, testing, and documentation)
  • Engineer and support hyper-converged environments leveraging Dell VxRail/PowerEdge, Isilon/Unity storage, and Wyse endpoints
  • Administer network infrastructure including Dell switches, Juniper SRX/SSR, TACLANE, and CSfC components
  • Support platforms and systems including VMware vSphere/Horizon, Rancher RKE2, Windows/Linux environments, and mission applications (SQL Server, Hadoop, etc.)
  • Install, configure, harden, test, and maintain network and system changes
  • Apply patches and security updates in coordination with NOC/SOC and program leadership
  • Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN performance and availability
  • Support site stand-up and connectivity across multiple transport methods (government, ISP, 5G) and coordinate with local providers
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation (CONOPS, TTPs, SOPs)
  • Ensure compliance with DoD/AF standards and architectural guidance
  • Collaborate with architecture, integration, O&M, and user teams to evolve system capabilities

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to travel up to 50% CONUS/OCONUS, including on military and commercial aircraft
  • Willingness to support mission needs during non-standard hours (evenings, weekends, holidays, shift work, overtime)
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) with at least five (5) years of relevant experience
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE)
  • Five (5)+ years of experience installing and operating DoD networks
  • Juniper SRX/SSR routing and switching experience required
  • TACLANE (KG-175 / KG-225 series) inline encryption experience required
  • Dell VxRail / PowerEdge / Isilon/Unity storage experience required
  • CSfC components and classified network architecture experience required
  • LAN/WAN design and operations in DoD environments experience required
  • Cisco CCNA/DevNet or higher certification highly preferred
  • Active/current passport required
  • Strong understanding of customer mission requirements, with the ability to assess hardware and software capabilities and limitations supporting the system
