We are currently seeking a RPG Developer - Healthcare Domain - HYBRID to join our team in Frisco, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • To design, develop and maintain software that is built on the IBMi platform using RPG and SQL languages and procedures. This will include assessing business requirements and translating into effective designs;
  • Producing high quality, standard-compliant code;
  • Collaborating with developers to ensure that changes are coordinated and knowledge is shared to permit more effective platform support;
  • Complying with the use of development standards using for example JIRA for the change management process together with release management procedures;
  • The management of deadlines through collaboration with technical and business teams;
  • Escalating to management platform events that need further focus or resolution.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years in the writing of ILE RPG and RPG Sequel programs and services with at least 2 years conducting development in Financial applications;
  • 8+years of experience in the writing of applications that use the DB2 400 relational database
  • 8+ years of experience in RPG programming 
    8+years Strong hands-on experience with DB2/400 and SQL for iSeries. Solid experience in application development and maintenance on IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform.Proficient in RPG/400, RPGLE, and Free-format RPG programming.Strong knowledge of DB2 for i, SQL, and database design.

Nice to Have:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • AWS production support experience would be an added advantage
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously a genuine passion for technology and problem solving
  • Good communication skills and the ability to deliver in accordance with deadlines
  • Experience in the use of the Synon code generator tool and Java would be desirable but not essential.
  • DB2, MySQL, SQL Server, AWS (Lamda, Secret Manager, Cloud Watch, SQS, S3, Code Pipeline, Cloud Formation, Glue), FSX filesystem, Snap Logic, Python/Node JS and IIS Services, Edifecs
