Job description

Golf School District 67 is seeking a detail-oriented Data Specialist to join our team at Golf Middle School. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and ensuring the absolute accuracy of student enrollment, attendance, and assessment data. Guided by our mission, "Learning Today... Leading Tomorrow," you will play a crucial part in maintaining data compliance and providing essential technical support across the district.

ROLE OVERVIEW

  • Location: Golf Middle School
  • Classification: Non-Licensed Support Staff | Golf Teacher and Support Staff Union


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: Experience working with a student information system (SIS), with a preference for Infinite Campus.
  • Key Competencies:
    • Detail-oriented individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong planning, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
    • Proven ability to meet strict deadlines and collaborate well within a team environment.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • SIS Management & Troubleshooting: Manage student information systems data, set up individual user accounts, issue passwords, resolve system lock concerns, and serve as the primary Tier I technical support for staff.
  • Data Integration & Setup: Coordinate with staff on master schedules, rollover procedures, schedules, and calendars; manage setups for assessments, Class Roster Files (CRF), and PARCC rostering.
  • State Reporting Compliance: Collect, update, and complete required state reporting records (such as Student Course Assignments and the ISBE Dashboard) in strict compliance with ISBE guidelines and timelines.
  • Custom Reporting & Design: Design customized report options, database applications (e.g., report cards, registration forms, lunch programs), and extract information to fulfill specific administrative requests.
  • Data Monitoring & Training: Oversee the entry of student enrollment and attendance data, instruct staff on proper system corrections, and provide necessary software training resources.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS


Salary Range
Salary will be established in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between the Board of Education and the Golf Teachers and Support Staff Union Local 1274. The specific range is determined based on the candidate's education level and years of experience.
