Job description

Description
Construction Project Manager
We're looking for a Project Manager who is accountable, collaborative, and relentlessly thorough - someone who takes genuine ownership, builds high-performing teams, and holds the line on quality, schedule, and trust.
The title is Project Manager. The real job is owning the outcome from kickoff to closeout.
Your Day-to-Day
Lead Projects End-to-End
  • Take full ownership of commercial projects from kickoff through closeout.

  • Drive execution against schedule, budget, and quality benchmarks - no exceptions.

  • Anticipate risk before it becomes a problem and make decisions that protect the project.

Build and Align Your Team
  • Partner closely with superintendents, owners, architects, and internal teams to keep everyone moving in the same direction.

  • Manage contracts, cost controls, documentation, and reporting with precision.

  • Hold stakeholders accountable and communicate proactively - no surprises.

Grow the Business
  • Strengthen client relationships that drive repeat work and long-term partnerships.

  • Represent MCL in the community and contribute to a culture others want to be part of.

The Right Fit
You're a strong fit if you:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural preferred).

  • 8+ years of commercial construction experience, with 3+ years in a Project Manager role. Experience managing large-scale commercial construction projects a strong plus.

  • Strong command of budgets, contracts, and project controls.

  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office.

  • Experience with GMP and CMAR delivery methods is a strong plus.

  • You lead with accountability - you own outcomes, not just tasks.

  • Detail-oriented and disciplined; cost and schedule are never an afterthought.

  • A collaborative leader who builds trust across teams quickly and committed to safety and quality.

Our Values
We hire for character as much as credentials. These four traits define the people who succeed at MCL:
Passionate - you care deeply about the work, the craft, and the people around you. This is more than a job to you.
Dedicated - you show up fully every day. When things get hard-and they will-you stay engaged.
Thorough - details matter. You don't hand something off or close it out until it's done right.
Respectful - you treat the owner, the sub, the laborer, and everyone in between with respect. It's not situational here-it's the standard.
What You're Walking Into
MCL Construction has been building Omaha and the surrounding region since 1987. We build with integrity, show up with purpose, and leave every project - and every relationship - better than we found it. Our reputation is built on people who show up, lead from the front, and take real pride in what gets built.
You'll work with experienced teammates on projects that shape communities, in a culture that values your judgment and the impact of your work.
If you want meaningful work with people who hold a high standard and have each other's backs, MCL is the place.
Competitive Compensation Package with benefits including: 100% employer-paid healthcare premiums • Profit sharing & 401(k) with employer contributions • Employer-paid short-term disability • Generous PTO • And more
You don't just manage projects. You own them.
If that speaks to you, let's talk.
