Job description

SUMMARY:
Evaluate, plan, and coordinate the completion of commercial furniture and demountable wall installations, reconfigurations, and office moves.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop or review labor estimates, resources necessary, work plans, and schedules for projects assigned.
  • Responsible for monitoring status and readiness of facilities and job sites prior to delivery and installation of product.
  • Develop logistics, sequencing, and an installation plan. Ensure the plan is executed timely and efficiently.
  • Analyze variances of actual labor costs to original labor estimates.
  • Manage the change order process for any costs that negatively impact expenses resulting from uncontrollable modifications, readiness of job site, delays in installation timeline, or changes to the original scope of work.
  • Responsible for expediting and coordinating timely completion of all โ€œpunch listโ€, incomplete work, or open issues prior to final completion of a project.
  • Attend status meetings with clients, contractors, or other key contacts involved on a project.
  • Ensure all safety requirements are understood, communicated, and complied with.
  • Responsible for understanding and utilizing all forms of drawings and local building code requirements in construction and facility applications.
  • Provide proactive, timely, consistent, and thorough communication with internal team members and client contacts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Occasional overnight travel to other cities may be required.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred.
  • Five years of experience in relevant project management or comparable role in the construction industry, facility management, or related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with building codes, working with trades, contracts, drawings, and the phasing of construction projects related to furniture and demountable wall installation.
  • Previous experience with demountable or modular wall applications, carpentry, framing or construction applications desired.
  • Proficient with utilization of Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, and project management software applications.
  • Proactive and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple contacts, contributors, and team members.
  • Very strong and proven organizational planning and problem-solving skills.
