Position Description
A position requiring specialized skills to perform the tasks of repairing, monitoring and programming an irrigation system on different properties.
Pay Range
$17.00-$28.00/hr
Essential Functions:
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks individually
  • Requires knowledge of advanced programming of irrigation clocks
  • Ability to troubleshoot irrigation systems (Pulsar, locator, identifying stressed plant material, etc.)
  • Capable of advance repairs (large mainlines, pump stations, etc.)
  • Interface directly with Supervisors
  • Understand and follow verbal/written instructions
  • Maintain adherence to all OSHA standards
  • Perform skilled to unskilled maintenance work involving strenuous physical tasks, such as digging, crouching, bending, lifting, reaching, walking, standing for long periods of time often under adverse climatic conditions

Position Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • 3+ years' experience in irrigation system maintenance and repair
  • Well versed in DLC practices, policies and procedures preferred
  • Arizona Driver License and clean 39-month MVR record required
  • Verbal and written English, preferred
  • Equipment operation

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. (Equipment, tools, and supplies may need to be lifted, carried and/or pushed)
  • Able to walk/stand for long periods of time
  • Able to reach, bend, twist, kneel, stoop, squat, crouch and grasp along with repetitive movements may be part of daily job duties
  • Contact with various plants, flowers and chemicals
  • Must be able to work in summer and winter climates
