Job Summary
Moon Valley Nurseries is seeking an experienced Irrigation Sales Professional to provide irrigation solutions and exceptional service to residential and commercial clients. This role is responsible for conducting site visits, identifying irrigation needs, developing recommendations, and generating sales opportunities while ensuring properties are maintained to Moon Valley's standards of quality, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in irrigation systems, water management, landscaping, and customer service, along with the ability to build relationships and support business growth through irrigation service recommendations and project sales.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform client site visits to review irrigation systems and identify customer needs
  • Develop irrigation recommendations, repair solutions, and upgrade opportunities for residential and commercial properties
  • Generate sales opportunities through irrigation assessments and customer consultations
  • Educate customers on irrigation systems, water management, and preventative maintenance solutions
  • Prepare and communicate recommendations, proposals, and service options to customers
  • Monitor and diagnose irrigation issues, including identifying system deficiencies and improvement opportunities
  • Coordinate with operations and field teams to support project scheduling and completion
  • Maintain accurate customer records, notes, and follow-up communication through HubSpot or similar platforms
  • Provide exceptional customer service while representing the Moon Valley Nurseries brand professionally
  • Maintain knowledge of irrigation products, services, and industry best practices
  • Support additional service sales opportunities related to tree care, landscaping, and irrigation improvements

Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience with irrigation systems, irrigation clocks, water management, landscaping, or related field experience
  • Previous sales or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to identify irrigation issues and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Comfortable using digital tools such as HubSpot, mobile applications, and similar platforms
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred
  • Must pass MVR, DOT, QAL, and drug screening requirements
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Education
High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
Physical requirements/Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Able to work outdoors in possibly extreme conditions, including rain, heat, sun, and wind.
