Job Summary:

Your role would be servicing our clients in the field by providing Irrigation labor support to commercial, private and public properties. You will be required to safely operate our equipment to complete your daily responsibilities. This role combines hands-on landscaping work with essential driving duties to ensure smooth and efficient operations on job sites.

As one of our Irrigation Crew Members, you will:

  • Works with various earth materials using hand tools such as rakes, shovels, picks, hand saws, wheel barrels, axes and other tools which may be required.
  • Perform a variety of landscaping tasks including planting, mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, and general garden maintenance. Follow instructions from the Crew Leader to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
  • Hauls topsoil, greens mix, gravel and sand, grass seed and sod and irrigation materials, including pipe, joints, heads and wire, to work area.
  • Installs topsoil, greens mix, gravel and sand, grass seed and sod, pipe, joints, heads and wire in prepped work areas.
  • Digs holes, trenches, and backfills to install drainage, irrigation mainline, lateral lines, and irrigation heads.
  • afely operate company vehicles, including trucks and trailers, to transport crew members, equipment, and materials to and from job sites. Ensure the vehicle is maintained in good condition and conduct routine inspections.
  • Assist in the preparation and clean-up of job sites. Ensure that all areas are left neat and tidy, removing debris and waste according to company policies.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures while working on job sites and driving. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and follow protocols to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
  • Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients on-site. Address any customer inquiries or concerns in a courteous and helpful manner.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly with crew members and supervisors. Assist in training new team members as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, vehicle mileage, and any issues encountered during operations. Report any incidents or accidents immediately to the Crew Leader.

Qualifications:

  • At least 6 months of recent experience in general construction (hillman, tillman, tailmain, pipelayer, new construction plumber, or related experience preferred).
  • To be at least 18 years old and be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • To perform physically demanding tasks in the Florida heat.
  • To be dependable and able to work well in a team.
  • Proven experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance is preferred.
  • Familiarity with operating landscaping equipment and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of safety practices and procedures related to landscaping and driving.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
