Job Description
Ironworker Rigger:
  • Align, level, and anchor cranes and equipment.
  • Select gear, shackles, and cables according to load size and work schedule.
  • Assemble and install supporting structures, rigging, hoist, and pulling gear.
  • Attach loads to rigging.
  • Connect pulleys and blocks to overhead structures.
  • Signal or give verbal directions to workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and materials.
  • Monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure machine is functioning properly.
  • Dismantle, clean, maintain, repair, and store rigging equipment.
