Ironworker Apprentice / Construction Laborer
Location: Daytona Beach, FL (Initial Project)
Travel: Required
Duration: Approximately 1 Year (Daytona, FL followed by assignment in Arkansas)

JGM is seeking hardworking, dependable individuals to join our team as Ironworker Apprentices / Construction Laborers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or grow a career in industrial construction.
Your first assignment will be on a large-scale project in Daytona Beach, Florida, expected to last approximately one year. After completion, you'll transition to our next project in Arkansas, with opportunities to continue traveling to future JGM projects across the country.
Whether you have experience as a laborer, helper, construction worker, or are looking to break into the trades, we'll provide hands-on training while you work alongside experienced Ironworkers and field leaders.
Responsibilities
- Assist Ironworkers with structural steel erection and installation
- Perform general construction labor to support daily operations
- Load, unload, organize, and stage materials
- Use hand and power tools safely
- Assist with bolting, rigging, and steel installation under supervision
- Clean and maintain a safe, organized job site
- Support equipment operators and skilled trades as needed
- Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Foreman
Qualifications
- Previous construction or labor experience preferred, but not required
- Experience in industrial construction, concrete, steel, manufacturing, warehouses, landscaping, roofing, or similar physical work is a plus
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Comfortable working at heights or willing to learn
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel for long-term projects
Schedule
- Temporary assignment (approximately 1 year)
- 5 ten-hour shifts and 1 eight-hour shift each week (5x10s + 1x8)
- Overtime available

- $120/day per diem paid 7 days per week while assigned to the project
