Job SummaryThis position is responsible for fabricating, installing, and connecting steel/iron frame supports on large scale commercial construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion of work. The Iron Worker will work closely with the Foremen/Superintendent to ensure project goals are met. The role involves unloading, stacking, and organizing steel materials, erecting structural steel, and performing welding tasks on construction sites. Additionally, may assist with minor mechanical repairs or installations. Requires the ability to operate heavy equipment such as manlifts, forklifts, etc.
Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure all work is performed to the highest quality standards and in accordance with project specifications and industry best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily logs and material usage.
  • Coordinate with other trades on the job site.
  • Work with Foremen to troubleshoot and resolve any on-site issues that may arise.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Ensure all welds meet required standards and specifications.
  • Identify and correct any defects or deficiencies.

Other duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations.
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Iron Worker/Welder.
  • Strong knowledge of ironworking and welding techniques, including layout and erection.
  • Experience with a variety of welding processes (e.g., 3G, 4G, SMAW).
  • Excellent safety record and a strong commitment to safety.
  • Strong communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to problem-solve and make quick decisions.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
