IP Network Engineer II Pearl Harbor, HI Apply Overview: Job Title: IP Network Engineer II Security Clearance: Secret Location: Pearl Harbor, HI (Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.) Description: C3EL is seeking a cleared professional to support our critical mission in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Our customer, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), acts as the provider of GIG/Defense Information System Network (DISN) services to its customers, the department of Defense (DoD) and national security organizations. The Network Engineer will perform sustainment, maintenance, and Problem and Change management services to help ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of the Department of Defense IP networks. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: * Perform engineering tasks related to the design, implementation, and integration of network changes and sustainment of customer systems in an Wide Area Network environment. * Conduct planning and performance of analytical research, design development, and other tasks to align with customer specifications. * Control network systems to ensure 99% or better system uptime and connectivity. * Ensure efficient delivery of contract capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes. * Mitigate risks, control costs and schedule variance, and effectively manage large scale, integrated projects. * Perform a variety of analytical tasks which include hardware and software design and implementation. Minimum Qualifications: * U.S. Citizenship. * An active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance. * Current DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE, or equivalent). * Experience analyzing VLAN, routing, IP addressing and sub-netting. * Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, F5 appliances, and Splunk systems. * Experience troubleshooting and configuring IP networks using at least one of the following routing methods: BGP, ISIS OSPF, or Static routing. * Experience with either service provider or enterprise IP networks using an interface on Cisco (ESR and ASR) and/or Juniper routers. * Experience with ports and protocols. Desired Qualifications: * Equally proficient in Juniper and Cisco configuration, troubleshooting, and design. * Experience with Cisco IOS XR, JUNOS, and Cisco IOS codes. * Pearl or other language scripting capable of running backup confits and other scripting to pull information from Cisco/Juniper routers * IPSEC configuration, troubleshooting, and design experience. * MPLS configuration, troubleshooting, and design experience. * IPV6 configuration, troubleshooting, and design experience. * Security certification and/or knowledge of DDoS and other attack vectors experienced in today' networks. * Crypto configuration, troubleshooting, and design experience. * Layer 2/3 VPN and Firewall knowledge and experience. * Physical cable plant and wiring experience. * Certifications with major network system vendors such as Cisco are a strong plus. * Excellent project, technical, interpersonal, presentation and problem management skills. * Extensive network integration experience for a variety of network protocol standards. * Ability to communicate orally, and in writing, detailed technical information on troubleshooting and implementation efforts. * Familiarization of DOD regulations and directives. Education/Experience: *  Requires a Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or a Master's degree with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience. (Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.)
