Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Litigation Associate with approximately 3-7 years of experience to join our growing team in the Cleveland, OH office. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong writing skills, courtroom exposure, and a proactive approach to managing cases.The pay range for the Experienced Litigation Associate is $130,000-$165,000 plus bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all phases of the litigation from pre-suit investigation through trial and appeal.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda with minimal supervision.
  • Take and defend depositions; prepare witnesses and clients for testimony.
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Manage client communications and expectations; participate in case strategy and development.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on complex litigation matters.

Qualifications:

  • J.D from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar Membership in good standing.
  • 3-7 years of litigation experience (civil/commercial, etc.).
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills
  • Courtroom and deposition experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in (e.g., commercial, employment, construction, or IP litigation).
  • Trial preparation or actual first- or second-chair trial experience is a plus.
  • Experience working directly with clients and opposing counsel.
