Java IoT Developer
Background:
The Coca-Cola Global Equipment Product (GEP) team is growing and seeking a talented Java IoT Developer to join our innovative engineering group. Our equipment combine cutting-edge cloud, web, IoT, and embedded technologies in an award-winning platform used by millions worldwide.
Our ideal candidate is a highly skilled Java developer with expertise in Spring Boot, RESTful web services, and embedded systems. You will collaborate across disciplines - fluidics, electronics, hardware, embedded, regulatory, and back-office technologies - to deliver software that connects physical devices with modern cloud ecosystems.

Responsibilities
โ€ข Design and implement Java (Spring Boot) software that runs on embedded hardware within the dispenser.
โ€ข Develop, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs and web services to connect IoT devices with cloud platforms.
โ€ข Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams (fluidics, embedded, mechanical, electrical).
โ€ข Contribute to new product features, enhancements, and cross-team initiatives.
โ€ข Ensure software adheres to regulatory guidelines and meets high standards of quality and security.
โ€ข Work with QA engineers to validate functionality across models and configurations.
โ€ข Translate new hardware and embedded capabilities into customer-facing features.
โ€ข Debug, diagnose, and resolve complex issues across hardware, firmware, and software layers.
โ€ข Proactively maintain, refactor, and extend a large, complex, and evolving codebase.
Requirements
โ€ข 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
โ€ข Strong, hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful web services.
โ€ข Proven background in embedded systems, IoT development, or hardware-integrated software.
โ€ข Excellent debugging and root-cause analysis skills, with the ability to resolve issues in layered, distributed systems.
โ€ข Demonstrated ability to navigate and contribute effectively to large, complex codebases.
โ€ข BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
โ€ข Experience collaborating in multidisciplinary engineering environments.
โ€ข Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
โ€ข Familiarity with tools and frameworks: HTTP, Swagger/OpenAPI, Maven, Git.
Nice to Have (Preferred Skills)
โ€ข Experience with Python for scripting, automation, and prototyping.
โ€ข Knowledge of C/C++ in embedded or systems programming contexts.
