Job description

Job Title:  IoT Engineer

Location:  Houston, TX (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced IoT Engineer with a strong background in Industrial IoT (IIoT), PLC Programming, and HMI development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience delivering IoT solutions within the Oil & Gas industry and possess strong Operational Technology (OT) knowledge. Candidates must be willing to relocate to Houston, TX and work in a hybrid environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement Industrial IoT (IIoT) solutions for Oil & Gas operations.
  • Develop and maintain PLC programs for industrial automation systems.
  • Configure, program, and troubleshoot HMI applications.
  • Integrate field devices, sensors, controllers, and industrial networks with IoT platforms.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize plant performance through automation and connected solutions.
  • Support OT infrastructure and industrial control systems.
  • Perform system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Work with Linux-based environments when required.
  • Support SCADA systems and integrations (secondary responsibility).
Required Skills
  • Strong experience with Industrial IoT (IIoT) solutions.
  • Hands-on PLC Programming experience.
  • HMI development and configuration experience.
  • Operational Technology (OT) expertise.
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and automation systems.
  • Willingness to relocate and work in a hybrid onsite environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Linux administration and troubleshooting.
  • SCADA systems experience.
  • Experience with industrial networking and edge computing technologies.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts within OT environments.
