Salary Range: $55,000-$65,000 (annually)

The Opportunityย 

This is an entry-levelย roleย learning all aspects ofย MPSWย products and systems to estimate and manage projects.ย As theย Assistant Project Manager/Estimator,ย this individual willย be responsible forย coordinating submittals, equipmentย selection,ย ordering equipment,ย pricingย and ship dates for each project.ย Must beย detailย and customer service oriented and have excellent organizational skills.ย ย Position requiresย a high levelย of oral and written correspondence with the Sales Team,ย Customersย and Manufacturers to ensureย timelyย completion of assigned projects whileย maintainingย customer satisfaction.ย Must be able to work well with others in a fast-pacedย & high-volume environment.ย 

Responsibilitiesย 

  • Create andย maintainย job files for eachย projectย throughoutย itsย durationย 
  • Optimizeย theย projectย through the stages of product selection, specifications, plans, estimates, proposals, valueย engineeringย andย redesignsย 
  • Manageย multiple projects on an ongoingย basisย 
  • Communicateย with owners, architects, MEP Consultants and General, Mechanical and Electrical Contractorsย ย 
  • Organizeย project related data for orderย entryย 
  • Respond to and trackย IOM & Submittalย requestsย 
  • Read,ย understandย and interpret building plans &ย specificationsย ย 
  • Develop andย growย relationships with customers, contractors, projectย engineersย andย manufacturersย 
  • Determineย project requirements, constraints, andย sales teamย responsibilities to meetย all ofย the customer's system design,ย installationย and maintenanceย expectationsย 
  • Investigateย concerns, implementย correctiveย actionย and communicateย with customers and co-workers as necessaryย to maximize customerย satisfactionย 

The Required Profileย 

  • One (1) to two (2)ย yearsย ofย experience in the HVAC, estimating, engineering, construction management or contracting environment; or equivalent combination of education andย experienceย 
  • Working knowledge of MEP consulting, architecture, design, CAD, general contracting, mechanical contracting,ย engineeringย or construction industry a plusย 
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, deal with ambiguity and manage high volumeย projectsย 
  • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlookย
