Job description

The Opportunity:
OA Private Capital, an affiliate of RDV Corporation, is a private investment firm managing an alternative asset portfolio specializing in private equity.
OA Private Capital is seeking qualified candidates to join the firm's Summer 2027 Internship Program. Investment Analyst Interns will receive extensive training and exposure to the overall private equity landscape, with a particular focus on middle market buyout funds, through the valuation and underwriting of private equity fund commitments, related co-investments, secondaries, and other alternative strategies. Additionally, OA Private Capital will provide each Investment Analyst Intern with unlimited access to Wall Street Prep, a platform of self-study online courses in financial modeling, to supplement the training and experience throughout the internship program.
The Investment Analyst Intern position supports members of the OA Private Capital Investment Group with responsibilities including investment underwriting, portfolio monitoring, database maintenance, and other internal projects. This is a short-term position designed for college undergraduate students interested in gaining experience in investment management and exposure to the broader private equity industry.
What You'll Do:
The Investment Analyst Intern will have the following duties and responsibilities:
  • Investment Underwriting - Evaluate prospective investment opportunities through the review of confidential investment memoranda, financial models, and commercial diligence reports and assist in the creation of investment committee materials.
  • Portfolio Monitoring - Assist in reviewing the ongoing financial performance and valuation of active portfolio investments using financial reports, board materials, comparable transactions, and other supplemental data.
  • Database Maintenance - Collect, input, and review comprehensive data sets within the firms internal reporting and document management systems.
  • Internal Projects - Support internal cross-portfolio and cross-functional projects on an ad hoc basis with an emphasis on how to best implement AI tools across the portfolio.

What You'll Bring:
  • Current undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related discipline - expected graduation in 2028 or 2029 preferred.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite - Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a cross-functional and team environment required.
