What We Are Looking For:


The Manager of Investment Reporting, will play a key leadership role within the investment accounting and reporting function, supporting the accurate accounting, close, and reporting of Aspida's growing and increasingly complex investment portfolio.


This role requires hands-on investment reporting expertise across multiple asset classes, along with the ability to lead and develop team members through the monthly close process. The Manager will also be heavily involved in onboarding new investment transactions and in partnering closely with our external investment systems team and our asset manager, Ares Capital.


This role reports to the Director of Investment Reporting and is a hybrid position, requiring onsite presence 3 days per week at our Durham, NC headquarters.


What You Will Do:

  • Lead and manage team members responsible for the monthly investment close and reporting process
  • Review and oversee investment accounting reconciliations and controls to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for investment reporting across asset classes including asset-backed securities, limited partnerships, and mortgage loans
  • Support and enhance investment schedules and disclosures for financial reporting and analysis
  • Oversee the onboarding of new complex transactions including system setup and reporting process design
  • Partner cross-functionally with Investments, Treasury, Financial Reporting, Ares Capital, and external service providers to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve controls, efficiency, and scalability within the investment reporting function
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and development support to team members
