Team / Division Overview
The DWS Private Infrastructure business ("DWS Infrastructure"), acquires and manages Debt and Equity investments in businesses that provide essential Infrastructure services in the transport, energy, utilities, digital, circular economy and healthcare sectors. With investment teams located in Europe and the US, the business has a global footprint and is focused on managing infrastructure portfolios that can meet the needs of institutional investors and private clients worldwide. The division has funds under management of approximately โ‚ฌ15 billion.
The US Infrastructure Debt platform currently manages in excess of $5 billion of committed capital through multiple credit funds and separately managed accounts. Since the Platform's inception in 2014 the investment team has deployed capital into over 170 investments.
Investment Associates on the team are involved in all aspects of the private debt investment process for the credit funds across North America and assist in managing the assets in the funds' portfolios. The appropriate candidate will have strong financial modelling, accounting & finance, credit analysis, communication, and presentation skills, and will demonstrate an interest in the infrastructure industry and its various subsectors.
Role Details
As an Investment Associate, you will be responsible for:
  • Closely involved in all phases on the investment process from origination, financial modelling, due diligence, and investment memorandum preparation and presentation.
  • Building, reviewing, and updating financial models to support with investment appraisal and valuation analysis/credit analysis
  • Taking on asset management responsibilities with respect to investments under management, with a view of maximizing the performance of such investments.
  • Working with the investor marketing teams to develop marketing materials and assisting with fundraising endeavors as the business continues to actively market its future funds
  • Conducting due diligence on debt investment opportunities (Technical, Commercial, Financial, Insurance and Legal/Tax)
  • Liaison with investment bankers, lawyers, tax specialists and other experts to facilitate the due diligence process, both internally and externally
  • Performing internal rating and ESG assessments of investment opportunities
  • Assistance in the preparation and presentation of Investment Committee papers
  • Monitoring and ongoing reporting performance of portfolio assets

We are looking for:
  • Previous experience in either M&A, Leveraged Finance, Project Finance with demonstratable skills in Debt/Financing of assets across Infrastructure, Industrials, Natural Resources, Energy or Digital Infrastructure sectors.
  • An understanding of the full investment life cycle from origination and acquisition to the asset management of investments
  • Strong credit analysis and financial modelling skills
  • Educated to Bachelor's degree level within a related financial subject or with relevant professional experience
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and strong project management skills

The base salary range for this position in New York is $100,000 to $200,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
