The Role

The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing inventory levels across all warehouses or retail locations. This role ensures accurate inventory tracking, minimizes stock discrepancies, and works to streamline inventory processes. The Inventory Manager collaborates with purchasing, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure products are received, stored, and distributed efficiently.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices
  • Monitor and maintain current inventory levels, ensuring accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits
  • Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse departments to reconcile inventory discrepancies
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, excess, or obsolete inventory and suggest corrective actions
  • Manage and oversee inventory software systems and related reporting tools
  • Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstock or out-of-stock situations
  • Supervise and train inventory staff, ensuring proper compliance with procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments for new product launches, warehouse changes, or process improvements
  • Ensure inventory storage complies with company safety and quality standards
  • Prepare and present reports on inventory accuracy, slow-moving items, and KPIs to senior management
  • Other duties assigned:
    Assist with warehouse tasks and other duties as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience 
  • 3+ years of experience in inventory control, supply chain, or warehouse management
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred 
  • Familiarity with international logistics and import/export regulations, preferred

      Physical Requirements: 

  • Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Full-time, office-based role with occasional travel to various sites or facilities.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required, especially for emergencies or planned maintenance.
  • Ability to stand and walk in a warehouse environment
  • May require lifting or moving items up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures or environments based on warehouse conditions
