Global Medical Response (GMR) is proud to be an authorized provider of the DOD SkillBridge program, offering Service Members the opportunity to gain valuable civilian work experience in the medical response industry through training and internships. 

Under the SkillBridge program, GMR hosts active-duty U.S. Military members for skilled employment training during the final six months of their active-duty obligated service. The SkillBridge Program with GMR will run for up to 180-days.

PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Aviation Inventory Control Coordinator is primarily responsible for performing an array of inventory, logistics, and support functions that include evaluating and managing inventory and inventory needs across all GMR Air Business units. Oversee inventory cycle counts and perform inventory and process audits. This position will also contribute to the development of new and existing processes and procedures.

SCOPE

The Aviation Inventory Control Coordinator will report to the Supply Chain Logistics Manager and will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy in all inventory warehouses, and inventory locations, ensuring all incoming aviation parts are brought into the system to meet company guidelines, and maintained in serviceable stock that meets the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and industry requirements. This role works closely with:

· Purchasing Department: Receiving and cost discrepancy

· Accounting Support Department: Ensuring all incoming inventory is received in an accurate and timely manner.

· Safety and Quality Departments: Ensuring safe warehouse operations and FAA compliance.

· Maintenance Managers and Aircraft Mechanics: Ensuring on-time delivery of parts and communicating delays.

· Other GMR Air Business Units Supervisors and Managers to coordinate and maximize efficiencies of the department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Receiving

· Work with Supply Chain Leadership and quality to ensure continual improvement of parts receiving, storage, and picking process.

· Provide necessary inventory support to the satellite facilities (RMO)

· Oversee material movement, racking layouts, labeling, stocking methods, and material storage setup in conjunction with receiving all incoming parts, and verifying invoices/packing sheets / physical quantities.

· Help maintain all incoming aviation parts for serviceability and traceability to meet Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and industry requirements.

2. Shipping

· Assists with facilitating shipping support for all delivery and shipments when needed.

3. Inventory Management

· Provide supervision, guidance, and support in cycle counts, and physical inventories while maintaining accurate inventory information.

· Analyze and correct inventory discrepancies with approval and make recommendations for discrepancy preventive actions.

· Review part usage data to determine inventory stocking levels for RMO facilities and field support,

· Supervise the team of Inventory Control Clerks to ensure Inventory Operations are efficiently accomplished with the highest level of safety and excellence.

· Measure and report key metrics (KPI’s); accountable for the accuracy of inventory information and make recommendations for areas that need improvement to the management team,

· Creates and maintains system data for individual and kit part numbers, to meet usage demands.

· Maintain positive open lines of communication with every department within the company.

· Ensure all issues brought to the Supply Chain leadership team are resolved quickly and process changes are made if needed.

· Help develop, train, coach, and motivate a strong cohesive team and help maintain a high level of attention to cleanliness and 6s standards in inventory storage locations.

· Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

· Two years’ experience with supply chain concepts

· Advanced computer skills, preferably experience using a computer-based inventory tracking system.

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Aviation industry experience preferred.
