Job description

Summary

The Inventory Technician processes requests, pulling, and delivering of stock items to ordering departments. Also, responsible for receiving and delivering special orders item(s) to the appropriate departments. Ideal candidates for this position must be safety and quality oriented with strict attention to detail while focusing on efficiency. Candidates must possess the willingness and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualification Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Minimum Qualifications

  • High school Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 1 Year of experience in a manufacturing and / or inventory control environment.
  • Certification on Powered Industrial Trucks/ pallet jacks.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations manual, and written directions.
  • Ability to write reports.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of general counting, plus the application of general warehousing and logistics theory.
  • Must have a basic understanding of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Picking / Kitting.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

  • Receive into inventory deliveries from suppliers.
  • Pick and stage orders for internal needs.
  • Motivate by example.
  • Excellent communication written and verbal.

Physical Demands

Standing and walking 6-8 hours each day. Stretching and lifting overhead, bending over to work on lower locations. Must be able to lift up to 50

pounds frequently.

Work Environment

Loud, warm in the summer months- cool in the winter months, dusty, near forklifts.
