Job description

The incumbent delivers at a competency in accountability, supervision, transfer and disposition of equipment purchased with federal funds. The incumbent assesses and performs analysis on data, and prepares data to facilitate Federal Programs functions of organization. Responsibilities require understanding of both theory and practice.
1.Recommend and review expenditures for the area of responsibility; provide fiscal data for preparation of the annual budget.2.Collaborate with manager and other District staff to develop short- and long-range plans for assigned program or functional area.3.Research and explore feasibility of implementing new methods, technologies or programs. 4.Develop, schedule, implement, monitor and evaluate all programs, projects and operations in area of responsibility. 5.Research, compile data for, and prepare various statistical, administrative and/or financial reports as required.6. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
Bachelor's degree in Education, Business or other relevant area, or equivalent, for a total education/experience of 4 years. Must have a valid state driver's license.
1.Coordinates and maintains the non-capital fixed asset tracking database. Ensures pertinent information (e.g., asset number, class code, acquisition date, simple description and historical cost) is entered accurately and updated as needed.
2.Affixes inventory tags to designated assets and equipment. Replaces damaged asset tags. Maintains permanent inventory records by gathering inventory data, completing required forms/logs and entering, deleting and correcting inventory.
3.Conducts periodic on-site inventory by physically locating, identifying and counting assets. Enters manual counts and uploads bar code data from inventory results into the fixed asset database.
4.Locates missing inventory, performs location transfers and reconciles exceptions. May prepare and submit reports regarding alleged theft, misuse of property or minor problems in property management.
5.Performs disposal transactions to remove assets from service to include processing physical transfer/disposal of surplus/obsolete assets.
6.Attends training, seminars and meetings as needed to maintain and enhance job knowledge and skills.
7.Receives and responds to inquiries, concerns and complaints in areas of responsibility.
8.Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
