As Maintenance Cost Optimization Manager, you will implement cost-effective strategies for equipment reliability, maintenance practices and site capabilities across our manufacturing network.ย  This pivotal role is responsible for executing productivity projects and maintaining quality while optimizing maintenance expenditures as well as problem-solving and capability building.ย 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Implement maintenance cost optimization initiatives
  • Reduce maintenance costs across Danone North America
  • Participate with Engineering on capital projects and innovation to ensure maintenance cost efficiency
  • Lead best practice identification and deployment across the manufacturing network
  • Drive reduction of maintenance costs through supplier management, sourcing strategies, and partner collaboration
  • Benchmark maintenance best practices and drive standardized implementation
  • Partner with appropriate function to ensure maintenance cost optimization
  • Review and implement reverse engineering opportunities and alternative strategies to reduce maintenance repair parts inventory and spend
  • Implement standardized storeroom best practices and regional approach to spare parts to reduce inventory and improve availability
  • Support development and implementation of technical training center for capability building

Operational Execution

  • Provide local support in the implementation of Infosys as an external partner to standardize purchasing practices and reduce overall maintenance spend
  • Ensure MVP is optimized to minimize excess spare parts inventory
  • Assist manufacturing plants in the development of annual maintenance budgets and forecast updates
  • Standardize PM plans and execution across like technology and platforms in the organization
  • Provide support to manufacturing sites to enable sustainable execution of maintenance initiatives
  • Develop and review scorecard and metrics on PM execution.

The salary range for this position is $105,000.00- $140,000.00 USD. The exact salary offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, geographic location, internal equity, and market conditions. ย Danone North America additionally offers a performance-based bonus and has a strong benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, 401k Plan, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Flexible Time Off, and Paid Parental Bonding Leave, among other benefit plan options. To give our employees flexibility, Danone is a hybrid work environment.This role is considered a "hybrid" position that allows for flexible work, meaning it is a role where collaboration with key stakeholders in Danone Hubs occurs. While you may have the option to work from home on a schedule as agreed to with your supervisor, you are also expected to regularly report to your assigned office location at least 3 days per week.

Travel could be 50% based on locationย 

About You

Experience and Education Requirement

  • Experience working in maintenance, procurement and manufacturing environments
  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, packaging science, or related technical field; advanced degree preferredย 
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations or engineering roles within a CPG food and beverage environment
  • Proven success in implementing programs across multi-site operations
  • Expertise in TPM, IWS, Lean, and digital manufacturing tools

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:ย 

  • Solid technical base refined with extensive corporate and plant experienceย 
  • Dairy processing, batching and packaging lines
  • TPM, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturingย 
  • Proficient in Excel, Power BI and SAP
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence across functions
  • Successfully skilled at dealing with divergent opinions within project teams and/or external resources
  • Data-driven, results-oriented mindset with strong financial acumen related to maintenance cost and inventory optimization
