Job description

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for performing the clerical inventory duties. This candidate will respond to emails and voicemails concerning orders, issue resolution, shipment tracking, routing questions and customer requests in a timely manner. She/he must have excellent organizational skills handling files, time management and the ability to meet deadlines.

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday

Shift: 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM 

Pay: $18.51 per hour

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

Answer incoming customer calls and provide detailed information

Participate in afternoon check-in of delivery teams

Audit inventory parts for delivery teams

Data entry on shipment tracking

Provide support for tracking shipments and communication progress

Maintain files in order and as outlined in the operations procedures and policy manual

Consistently monitor e-mail requests and provide detailed information in a timely fashion

Regular and dependable attendance

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to carry out assignments to their completion and meet deadlines

Ability to work well without direct supervision

Desire for a long-term career with an industry leading company

Ability to present and maintain a positive corporate image in a fast-paced environment

Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products including; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

Ability to perform general administrative duties; file, perform data entry, photocopies, etc.

Safely load and unload trailers by utilizing equipment such as hand trucks/pallets jack and forklifts

Ability to handle heavy workload and work well under pressure

Understanding of industry documents (bill of lading, master airway bills, TSA forms, etc.)

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Must maintain a clean and safe work environment

Must be able to pass basic hazardous materials training

Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess a "can do" attitude with a "will do" work ethic

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Experience with AS400 operating systems is a plus

Transportation industry knowledge and experience is a plus

Forklift and general freight handling knowledge
