Job description

At Mallory Safety & Supply, we're more than a safety distributor-we're a trusted partner to thousands of industrial organizations across the country. For more than 40 years, we've helped customers improve workplace safety through innovative solutions, exceptional service, and a people-first culture.
Today, we're one of the largest independently owned safety distributors in the nation, with more than 40 locations and nearly 600 employees. As we continue to grow, we're looking for team members who enjoy working independently, building customer relationships, and making a real impact every day.
If you're organized, dependable, and enjoy staying active rather than sitting behind a desk, we'd love to meet you.
About the Role
As an Onsite Inventory Specialist, you'll become the face of Mallory at one of our customer locations in the Redmond, Oregon area. You'll play an important role in ensuring employees always have the PPE and safety supplies they need by managing inventory, stocking vending machines, and completing routine safety equipment inspections.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, managing their own schedule, and building strong customer relationships in an industrial environment.
This part-time position averages 16-24 hours per week, typically working two days each week, with an additional service day each month dedicated to inspections and inventory management.
Each Monday, you'll spend a short amount of time entering inventory orders into our system. Product is then picked and shipped from our Portland warehouse, allowing you to focus the rest of your week on servicing the customer site by stocking machines, organizing inventory, and completing inspections.
What You'll Do
Every day looks a little different, but your responsibilities will include:
  • Replenish PPE and industrial safety products in customer vending machines
  • Enter weekly inventory orders into our inventory system
  • Monitor inventory levels and perform routine cycle counts
  • Complete inspections of first aid cabinets, AEDs, emergency eyewash stations, safety showers, and emergency lighting
  • Document inspections and inventory activity using mobile reporting software
  • Build positive relationships with customer employees and Mallory teammates
  • Organize inventory and move product between designated storage areas as needed
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and customer service
  • Stay active throughout the day with frequent walking, bending, lifting, and movement

What You'll Need
We're looking for someone who is:
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
  • Friendly, professional, and customer-focused
  • Organized with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable using technology and learning inventory software
  • Able to manage their own schedule and prioritize tasks
  • Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Able to lift, bend, walk, and stay active throughout the day

Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license with at least two years of driving experience
  • Driving record that meets Mallory's Safe Driver standards
  • Previous inventory, warehouse, merchandising, or customer service experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry
  • Ability to read and write in English

Work Environment
You'll be working inside an industrial manufacturing facility where you'll spend much of your day on your feet. Responsibilities include stocking vending machines, organizing inventory, opening inspection cabinets, and occasionally lifting heavier safety equipment such as emergency eyewash units or moving inventory boxes between storage locations.
Why You'll Love Working at Mallory
Even as a part-time team member, you'll join a company that genuinely invests in its people.
  • Monday-Friday schedule - no nights or weekends
  • Consistent part-time schedule (approximately 16-24 hours per week)
  • Independence and autonomy in your daily work
  • Opportunity to build lasting customer relationships
  • Career growth opportunities within a growing company
  • Employee discounts and Mallory swag
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Supportive, family-owned culture built around our Core Values

Ready to Make an Impact?
Hiring great people is the most important thing we do. If you're dependable, detail-oriented, enjoy working independently, and take pride in delivering excellent customer service, we'd love to have you join the Mallory team.
Apply today and help us keep America's workforce safe-one customer, one machine, and one day at a time.
