Job description

Cambridgeport is currently seeking an Inventory Coordinator to work with the Manufacturing Team to ensure our products are designed, built and delivered right every time.
CAMBRIDGEPORT is a well-established, industry leader in the manufacture and assembly of HVAC products located in Georgetown, MA. Our products include Data center units and computer room air handlers. Custom design and field services are also available.
The ideal candidate will manage daily stock levels, track product movement, and ensure record accuracy. They serve as a key link between the warehouse, logistics, and purchasing teams to prevent shortages and reduce excess waste. Works under immediate supervision.
Responsibilities:
  • Stock Tracking: Monitor daily inventory levels and update database records using management software.
  • Auditing: Conduct regular physical counts and cycle counts to reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with shipping, receiving, and procurement teams to manage incoming and outgoing shipments smoothly.
  • Reporting: Generate periodic reports on stock status, slow-moving items, and supply trends for management
  • Receiving: Physically receive incoming material, verify shipments against purchase orders and packing slips, and inspect for damage or discrepancies.
  • Put-away: Move received material to its designated storage location promptly and accurately.
  • Discrepancy reporting: Notify the Purchasing department of short shipments, overages, or damaged goods so the vendor can be contacted and the issue resolved.
  • System entry: Record all receiving transactions in the company's ERP/inventory software in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Stock room management: Maintain a clean, organized, and efficiently arranged stock room, including proper labeling, and support inventory accuracy.
Typical Education and Relevant Experience:
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of work experience in warehousing, logistics, or inventory control.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in database systems like WMS or ERP software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Schedule:
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday-Friday
Salary:
  • $55,000-$65,000; Commensurate with experience
