The Opportunity (Job Purpose):

As our next Parts Counter Representative (Body Shop), you will play a crucial role in assisting our internal Body Shop Managers, Assistant Parts Managers, and Advisors with part number look up and price quoting for estimating wreck repairs to customers. With opportunities to expand existing parts expertise and to build a long-term career in heavy-duty collision repair. We are looking for an energetic, solutions-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is eager to grow with us.
What You'll Do Day-to-Day (Essential Duties & Responsibilities):
  • Sourcing and Quoting: Act as a technical resource for shop leadership and estimators on complex part number lookups, specialty vendor pricing, and rare component availability across all OEM and aftermarket lines.
  • Damage Assessment Support: Independently generate complex, multi-system parts lists directly from severe damage photos and preliminary estimator notes.
  • Complete Repair Packages: Systematically audit repair packages to guarantee full capture of all required companion parts, adhesives, specialized fasteners, and single-use hardware for heavy rebuilds.
  • System Integration: Oversee data accuracy within Mitchell Truck Estimating and internal business systems, updating complex cataloging, notes, and pricing overrides.
  • Logistics & Order Tracking: Direct interbranch routing efforts with Warehouse Coordinators, proactively resolve back-orders, and provide precise delivery ETAs to estimators and management.
  • Priority Setting: Advanced capability to triage competing, urgent repair quotes and shop demands without compromising accuracy.
  • Customer-First Mindset: Proactive, high-touch communication driving strong relationships with body shop leadership, estimators, technicians, and key external account
  • Perform other dynamic duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business

What We're Looking For (Qualifications & Skills):
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of parts counter, heavy-duty collision, or estimating support experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Mitchell Truck Estimating software, PACCAR ordering systems, and corporate inventory/ERP platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform cycle counts, investigate inventory variances, process complex returns, and assist with shop administration.
  • Proven experience cross-training, mentoring new hires, or assisting Parts Management with operational tasks.
  • Ability to intelligently speak and negotiate with customers, insurance adjusters, and vendors.
