POSITION SUMMARY

The function of the Inventory Coordinator is responsible for ensuring correct inventory transactions within the software system and aligning that with appropriate part placement for physical storage. Fulfilling all inventory and material coordination while controlling inventory accuracy to achieve maximum throughput and on time delivery to services and customers.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Availability to work (10am-6:30pm) swing shift
  • Required: Minimum of 1 year experience in a position that includes inventory control and shipping/receiving of materials in an industrial setting.
  • Required: Ability to organize and count parts, using scales for weight counting as well as above average math skills for hand counting parts.
  • Preferred: The Inventory Coordinator must have a high level of competence with other office computer applications including but not limited to Microsoft Office and Infor. 
  • Excellent visual perception to ensure fine detail for part identification.
  • Full physical capability to sit, stand, walk, climb, reach, bend and maneuver around equipment and job stations.
  • Ability to simultaneously coordinate multiple tasks according to priority.


RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Receiving, documenting, and monitoring all sales orders and inventory control
  • Inventory accuracy, control, records, and protection of goods in inventory
  • Validate content to order and securely package orders for shipment.
  • Communicating with the area leadership on priorities. 
  • Responding in a timely fashion to inventory enquiries
  • Stocking levels and cycle counting to ensure inventory is accurate, in conjunction with using FIFO (first in first out) system.
  • Representation of the company with external contacts including customer relations and vendor relations.
  • Following all ATF and LMT requirements and processes for inventory control, lot-out, and processing
  • Certain tasks require the use of pallet jacks or fork trucks. All motorized equipment requires a certification before authorized use. 
  • On-going communication with the Inventory Manager, Assembly Supervisor, Quality Assurance, and Production Supervisors to ensure common understanding of immediate issues affecting throughput and schedule
  • Accurately picking quantities and parts for all types of orders and complete digital transactions to have traceability to part movement.
  • 5S in the area to be completed daily and 5S daily and weekly tracker filled out.
  • All parts received in taken to quality daily, ensuring that nothing is to be left in receiving that has been systematically received. 
  • Work with leadership to ensure all items with issues need to be resolved within 48 hours of the issue being discovered.
  • All products that come to the back dock are to be unloaded by the inventory team with proper part tagging and identification using safe methods and storage. 
  • Accurately counting parts before turning them into inventory or lotting out to maintain accurate inventory by using scales or hand counting.
  • Assist in training new hires into the department using the SOP's and work instructions.
