Job Summary
Job Responsibilities
  • Supervise the company's inventory control activities to ensure the efficient and economical utilization of facilities for storing and distributing raw materials and finished products.
  • Ensure the receipt and storage of products, materials, equipment, parts, accessories, and supplies.
  • Monitor inspection of incoming items against orders for accuracy, completeness, and defects.
  • Arrange for the return and replacement of defective items.
  • Manage periodic and special inventories; accounts for inventory variances.
  • Assist with improvements in policies and procedures to promote efficiency, faster service, and lower costs.
  • Coordinate the transfer of products, materials, equipment, parts, accessories, and/or supplies between/among warehouses.
  • Ability to supervise a group independently.
  • Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required.
  • May participate in preparation of proposals.
  • Provide assistance to lesser-experienced employees by communicating work priorities, providing assistance, and verifying accuracy of work.
  • Mentor direct staff.
  • Support, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the company.
  • May also have supervisory responsibility involving staffing, conducting performance appraisals, training and developing subordinates, promotions, salary increases, terminations, disciplinary actions, etc
  • Other duties as assigned
