We work onsite with our team based in Auburn Hills, Michigan, and Juneau, Wisconsin. Our team of 700+ passionate pet people thrives on collaboration, innovation, and the occasional office cameo from a four-legged friend.


Location: Caine Warehouse in Reeseville, WI


Whisker runs two daily shifts (Caine Warehouse):

1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Split Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Overtime and weekend work may be required


What You'll Do:


The Inventory & Order Coordinator is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy through daily cycle counting while supporting administrative functions related to customer order preparation. This position serves as the link between warehouse operations and order administration by ensuring inventory is accurate, orders are properly prepared, and operational issues are identified before they impact customer shipments.


This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and communication while working closely with Warehouse Operations, Logistics, and Production.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs daily cycle counts in accordance with established schedules and procedures
  • Investigates, researches, and resolves inventory discrepancies on time
  • Researches inventory transactions within SAP and warehouse management systems to identify and correct inventory issues. Verifies inventory movements and transfers between warehouse locations
  • Maintains accurate inventory records and ensures proper product location and bin accuracy
  • Assists with inventory audits and physical inventory activities
  • Monitors inventory accuracy, identifies trends, and escalates recurring issues as appropriate
  • Collaborates closely with warehouse, inventory, and operations teams to support efficient material flow and system integrity
  • Participates in daily and weekly department meetings to support operational alignment and continuous improvement
  • Identifies and supports continuous improvement opportunities that enhance inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency
  • Adheres to company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and applicable inventory and safety requirements
  • Prepares and organizes daily order documentation to support efficient fulfillment and shipping operations
  • Creates, prints, and distributes shipping labels, pallet labels, placards, and other required shipment documentation
  • Reviews order information for completeness and accuracy, identifying and escalating missing, conflicting, or inaccurate information prior to fulfillment
  • Assists with prioritizing customer orders based on operational requirements and shipping needs
  • Communicates order-related issues to the appropriate teams and departments to support timely resolution
  • Prepares and distributes documentation required by Shipping and Processing teams
  • Provides administrative and operational support to the fulfillment team, particularly during high-volume shipping periods
  • Assists with the development and maintenance of documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Maintains accurate and organized electronic and physical records
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements


  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, administrative support, or a related field
  • May be required to support other operational areas based on business needs. 
  • Experience working with ERP systems 
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Suite applications
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated record of reliable attendance, punctuality, and dependability 
  • Demonstrated discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment with frequent interactions and interruptions
  • High degree of initiative, self-motivation, and ability to positively motivate others
  • Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with Team Members and colleagues
  • Comfortable with office pets (cats, dogs)
