Warehouse Associate (1st Shift 7:00AM-3:00PM M-F)
The non-supervisory role of the Warehouse Associate is to organize the receipt, shipment, and movement of all products, materials, and supplies to achieve maximum standards of quality and customer service to drive Continental Plastic (CPC) profitability and achieve organizational KPI's and strategic objectives. Under the guidance of the Materials and Inventory Control Manager, responsibilities include:
Picking / Packing:
• Pick orders and check inventory levels utilizing RF scanning. Pull daily orders for shipping through CMS and pack orders from the pick list for products to be shipped by LTL, UPS, USPS and/or customer pick up for domestic and international shipments.
• Select products to ship from the shelves, utilizing warehouse management system and customer information to ensure that customers get their products on time and in good condition.
• Fulfill warehouse orders by packing and labeling shipments as they move them to their final destination. Most package handlers don't need any previous warehouse experience.
• Work with forklifts, hand trucks, and wrap machine.
Material Handling:
• Move and maintain daily inventory and stage items for shipment. Ensure that products are properly located.
• Unload, store, or retrieve items in and out of the warehouse.
• With equipment load products on and unload products off trucks and move items within the warehouse.
Inventory Control:
• Participate in the verification of inventory counts and conduct physical inventories as required. Alert Shipping/Receiving Clerk of out of stock or low stock levels as discovered.
• Maintain inventory levels and movement within warehouse through CMS software to keep information up to date.
Successful candidates will possess the following:
  1. Education, training, and experience equivalent to a high school diploma/GED with at least 1 year of warehouse related experience in an industrial setting. Coursework should be supplemented with logistics and customer service. Possess a basic knowledge level of MS Excel, Word, Outlook and CRM.
  2. Must have a solid working knowledge of applicable safety and OSHA requirements and familiarity with radio frequency (RF) equipment. Obtaining a forklift certification within a week after hire is required. Ability to load/unload/move inventory using a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment is required.
  3. Must possess the ability to build positive team relationships and achieve outcome-oriented objectives; working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (LEAN Enterprise) with a holistic viewpoint.
  4. Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, setting priorities and managing time effectively and the ability to work independently, managing job orders and deadlines while maintaining an awareness of other business dependencies, when completing assigned duties.
