Inventory Control Supervisor
Employment Status: Full-Time
Location: On-Site at NEW Gymreapers HQ - Nampa, ID
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (flex based on business needs)
Reports To: Sr. Manager, Fulfillment
Position Overview
The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, integrity, and availability across all warehouse operations. This role owns cycle counting, reconciliation, root cause analysis, and process improvement to maintain best-in-class inventory performance across DTC, Amazon FBA, and Wholesale channels.
This is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving accuracy, reducing shrink, and improving operational visibility. You will lead a team, enforce process discipline, and partner cross-functionally to eliminate inventory discrepancies at the source.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Accuracy & Control
  • Own inventory accuracy across all locations, bins, and systems (Peoplevox/WMS)
  • Maintain and improve inventory accuracy targets (99%+)
  • Execute and oversee daily cycle count program (ABC classification)
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical and system inventory
  • Ensure proper inventory adjustments with full audit trail
Cycle Count & Audit Program
  • Design and manage structured cycle count schedules (high-velocity SKUs prioritized)
  • Lead full warehouse audits as needed
  • Validate bin accuracy, product location integrity, and labeling standards
  • Identify systemic issues (slotting, replenishment errors, mis-picks, receiving errors)
Root Cause Analysis & Continuous Improvement
  • Conduct root cause analysis on discrepancies, shrink, and inventory variances
  • Identify breakdowns across receiving, putaway, picking, packing, and returns
  • Implement corrective and preventative actions
  • Partner with Fulfillment, Returns, and Procurement to eliminate recurring issues
Inventory Flow & Optimization
  • Ensure proper replenishment of pick locations to prevent stockouts
  • Optimize slotting strategy based on velocity, size, and pick frequency
  • Monitor aged, damaged, and non-sellable inventory
  • Support liquidation, write-offs, and reclassification processes
Labor & Team Management
  • Lead and develop inventory control associates
  • Assign daily tasks (cycle counts, audits, reconciliations, investigations)
  • Drive productivity and accountability within the team
  • Coach team on SOP adherence, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Address performance issues with clear corrective action
System Integrity (WMS Ownership)
  • Ensure accurate inventory movements within Peoplevox
  • Validate all transactions (receipts, transfers, adjustments, returns)
  • Monitor and resolve system errors, sync issues, and location mismatches
  • Maintain clean, organized, and logical bin structures
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with:
    • Receiving → Ensure inbound accuracy and proper putaway
    • Fulfillment (Pick/Pack) → Reduce mis-picks and location errors
    • Returns → Validate disposition accuracy and inventory recovery
    • Supply Chain/Planning → Provide accurate inventory data for forecasting
Reporting & Visibility
  • Provide daily/weekly reporting on:
    • Inventory accuracy %
    • Cycle count completion rate
    • Shrink and variance trends
    • Adjustments (units + $ impact)
  • Surface risks, trends, and systemic issues to leadership
  • Maintain audit readiness at all times
