About the Role:

Maverick Power is looking for a detail-orientated individual to join our team as an Inventory Control Lead. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels by performing counts, verifying materials, updating system records, and resolving discrepancies. Supports warehouse operations by ensuring all items are properly received, stored, and issued according to established procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily inventory control activities, including cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and material verification.
  • Assign, prioritize, and monitor daily workload for Inventory Control personnel.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and perform root cause analysis to identify and implement corrective actions.
  • Review and approve inventory transactions, adjustments, transfers, and system corrections within Epicor.
  • Partner with Receiving, Production, Shipping, Planning, and Purchasing to resolve inventory and material flow issues.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through regular audits, location verification, and adherence to inventory control procedures.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce inventory control SOPs and standard work instructions.
  • Monitor inventory KPIs, prepare reports, and communicate inventory performance and risks to leadership.
  • Train, coach, and mentor Inventory Control team members while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Support physical inventories, internal audits, process improvement projects, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Communicate inventory findings and updates to leadership in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of warehouse inventory control experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous leadership or lead experience supervising inventory operations.
  • Advanced knowledge of inventory control principles, cycle counting, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Strong proficiency with ERP systems (Epicor Kinetic preferred).
  • Experience investigating inventory discrepancies using root cause analysis.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse processes, material flow, and inventory transactions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting tools.nt.
  • Basic math and computer skills (Excel, scanning devices, reporting tools).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Epicor Kinetic experience.
  • Experience leading annual physical inventories.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Experience developing inventory procedures, KPIs, and training materials.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting, standing, and performing repetitive tasks
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
  • Must be able to navigate warehouse and reach items both high and low
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and work at heights for extended periods.
  • Must have vision correctable to 20/20 and be able to wear required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, boots, gloves, etc.).
  • Duties are performed in a loud production setting subject to extreme temperatures. Some duties may be required to be
