Job description

The primary function of Supply Chain Coordinator – inventory is to maintain inventory and coordinate material for all Mirion Technologies (IST Canada) ULC products in accordance with production requirements and approved documentation.

Core Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Determine production requirements by working within the Materials department; generate pick lists and material requisitions to meet internal timelines.
  • Maintain inventory records for material, shipments and customer material.
  • Participate in weekly production meetings.
  • Process appropriate documentation for receiving, inspection and in-process materials.
  • Coordinate customer material storage, organization and inventory tracking.
  • Participate in customer material audits, as appropriate. 
  • Generate supplied material purchase orders.
  • Perform cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory.
  • Play a key role in annual physical inventory, including coordination and overseeing support personnel.
  • Additional administrative tasks as required.

Other Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare inventory reports and summaries for both on-hand materials and new PO.
  • Assist with purchasing factory supplies and services as required.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving responsibilities as required.
  • Expedite documentation and materials as required.
  • Prepare allocations in accordance with stock material and submit for review.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

  • All employees are expected to follow government and corporate laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • All Cambridge employees play a role in the implementation of the site Quality and SafetyPolicy, which outlines a safe work environment as the foundation for the business unit’s goal to create a positive customer experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • No direct supervisory responsibilities.

Direction

  • Perform duties with general supervision of the Purchasing/Materials Manager.
  • Work is performed to a large extent on own responsibility.

Skill/Knowledge & Other Requirements:

  • EDUCATIONAL
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Computer literacy required in Inventory Control and Word/Excel.
    • Community College in Materials Management diploma preferred.
    • Inventory Control courses would be an asset.
  • EXPERIENCE
    • Minimum 1 to 2 years with inventory control function.
  • PHYSICAL
    • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • OTHER REQUIREMENTS
    • Proficient written and verbal communication.
    • Computer literate.
    • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Working conditions while performing the job:
    • Work will be performed in office and various production site work environments.
